Career Fire Officer

The career fire officer is a supervisory position which requires substantial fire service experience.  The daily routine is very dynamic and may include such diversified activities as building inspections, public speaking and life safety education, fire suppression, training, maintenance, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, emergency medical response, apparatus operation, supervision of volunteer firefighters, and strategic and tactical decision-making.  As positions become available, the Department accepts applications and conducts written, physical agility, and oral examinations per civil service rules and regulations.  Currently, there are not any openings.
